Occupation after battle
Temporary control and tribute after a successful attack
Traduction en attente de validation — article affiché en anglais.
Not every victory ends with simple casualties and retreat. Some successful attacks can lead to temporary occupation. Occupation is a time-limited outcome that places pressure on the defeated city without transferring permanent ownership of the target.
During occupation, the occupying force can benefit from a limited share of the occupied city's output under the active world rules. This is meant to reward military success while keeping the result temporary and contestable. Occupation should be understood as a strategic follow-up state, not a replacement for long-term city development.
Occupation decisions are separate from ordinary raiding or scouting. Because the exact battle state still matters, players should review available options after a victory and understand that occupation can expire, be broken, or end through normal world resolution.
