The Academy provides the research progression interface. Research can support economic efficiency, movement and combat, with different branches and prerequisites.

A good early plan is to identify your limiting factor. If gathering is slow, examine the economic and logistics options; if your settlement is exposed, examine defense or military progression. Not every research item is available immediately.

Research takes resources and time. Preview the next level's requirements in the live Academy, then coordinate your building and resource spending accordingly.
